If they're an adult model they need to protect themselves from the psychos out there who ruined it for all the good people and made it so that they needed to get stage names. Also, if you're contacting a photographer or site webmaster and asking for the real name of one of their models they are legally obligated not to give you the girls name. It's all about safety.

No argument there. Everyone should be allowed to be anonymous or go under a pseudonym (says "neptitude" to "Divine Blaze":)) But I'm not looking for their real name, just the name they usually go by in the industry. One of the risks of being an adult model is the creeps and psychos and another is -- no pun intended -- exposure of one's activities to people they don't want to be exposed to, like employers or parents. I usually figure that even when a performer has a real-sounding name like Maria Moore or Laura Bailey that that's not the name on their drivers license.

What I was referring to is when a TGP just makes up a name for a model -- like calling this one "Anna" when she's been around a while and goes by "Radka". That makes it difficult for fans to find more of the model's work.
