I've recently had a lot of time to myself and due to recent happenings (like a workmate dying unexpectedly) I have decided to ponder a few things.


How would the world be if I had never been born?
Would the people, who's lives I've touched, still be in the same position if it weren't for me?
Would people really notice or care if I suddenly disappeared?
Have I made a difference to anyone's life?

The honest answer is - I don't know. It would be nice to know I had done some good in my life, and I've always tried to do the right thing as far as I've been concerned, (even if that hasn't been the wisest thing at the time). I guess that there comes a point in your life when you spend more time looking back than looking forward, and I think I've reached that point.

I read a lot, a whole lot. I also keep up with current events and listen when people talk. Now let me state that i may listen but i also have a memory for things i classify important and crap. Today we have a lot of distractions, a whole lot. Think about it back in the 80's we had atari and tv. Now we have tons of electronic widgits an gadgets and the video games are just so damn entising and involved. The latest distraction of late is the whole 3D craze. The 3D movies and tv's and video games soon to come from sony(thosebastards). So with all these distractons what do we do with ourselves how do we break it up and get shit done we need or want to.

There in lies the scary part. The average gamer that i know, me being 32 are 18 to 50. Now ad in that the older gen of gamers out there prob use their computers for WOW an pc games, but the younger gen of gamers will get older. What happens to household chours. Well most people i know have no time for that. Why, cause they are to buisy with their distractions. I know grown men who have to be TOLD to do stuff around the house by their wives an g/fs cause they cant put the game down. I know single guys who dont do shit but play cause that is their THING. Some people preffer reading others music , tv, knitting. But its the video games that people today cant put down unlike back in the day put the book down or knitting needles. Now yeah it goes for lazyness of the overall population but its getting worse. And because of how they are now at 24 I cringe at the thought of how its gonna be when the 20 somethings are 40 somethings.

Picture it 40 yrs old wearing 3D goggles playing 3D blueray highdef action packed video games. Ducking behind couches, aiming at the tv fake guns at realistic looking bad guys. Totally sucked into this world that is sooooo much more fun than what they have to do in reality. I am scared, scared for the state of the family , scared for the state of living and relationships. Im worried about where its all going, cause i see a sad future of people who have nice stuff they dont take care of cause they are too buisy being distracted by everything that doesnt matter. Paying no attention to the things that better their enviroment and the world they live in.

Okay, so I wasn't trying to do this, but I've been seriously stressed out, and I know some of you love this sort of thing...I have gained 2 pounds in 3 days! Some of you may like this sort of thing as I have come to notice..but I wasn't trying to gain weight, but since I have, I thought I'd let those of you know about it that are inerseted in knowing..LOL
