I studied journalism in my undergrad...

basically, it sells. Its sad because we are so dependent on money.

That is what sucks so much! everything is driven by money anymore and people just don't do the neighborly thing. I do have some great neighbors though and more so than ever in my life so I should be glad of that.

No the whole thing is that the media cares more about useless stories like that then real things that are happening in the world that actually have an effect on people instead of this bullshit.

Like the cost of living increase for SSI recipients. This was the first time it has never been given and on the day it happens they would rather talk about some worthless story like the bubble kid. balloon what ever..
